This was a contributed talk that I gave at the 15th Conference on the Intersections of Nuclear and Particle Physics (CIPANP), which took place at the University of Madison, Wisconsin from June 8 – 13, 2025. My talk was 18 minutes in length with 2 minutes for questions. Alongside my presentation, two other members of Spinlab also gave presentations – Nicholas Nusgart spoke about his ongoing efforts to design a measurement protocol for CP-violation searches using radioactive molecules in solids. Gordon Arrowsmith-Kron, who recently defended his PhD thesis, also came along to discuss the contributions to the Radium EDM laser trap experiment hosted at Argonne National Lab.
At this conference, I was pleasantly surprised to hear about the revitalization of the SNS neutron EDM project in the European scientific community as the neutron EDM superfluid (nEDMSF) experiment from Paul Huffman. As I understand it, this project will attempt to demonstrate several technological steps needed to run this experiment at a European facility such as the European Spallation Source (ESS). I’m very excited to hear about their plans and I’m hopeful that their work goes well.
