The Spinlab’s unique inventory of world-class equipment and facilities paired with it’s innovative team members allows for the execution of intricate and critical experiments. Improvements, additions, and customizations are constantly being made around the lab. An example of this is the weekly win awarded on 10/17/16 to Roy Ready for his work in building a circuit which will aid in future experiments.

“Spinlab has a dedicated electronics room that allows us to design and build custom electronics that might otherwise not be available commercially. The E-room is outfitted with workbenches, soldering irons, power supplies, a drill press, as well as a plethora of tools and electronic components in stock”During mid-October, I made use of the E-room to build a circuit for a high-priority, time critical experiment. It reads a high-frequency, DC-offset signal input and splits it into two signals. One path filters out the high-frequency. The other path filters out the offset. This effectively separates the Direct Current (DC) signal from the Alternating Current (AC) signal and allows us to read both independently of each other”
